Deactivates excess protein-degrading enzymes that are barriers to wound closure, while maintaining moisture balance with a secondary dressing, Can be cut to shape or placed in pieces into the wound, and will biodegrade over time.  for best results, use on exuding wounds and treat the wound with a bacterial product such as Idosorb or Acticoat for about two weeks before moving to BioStep.
