Philips Temperature Controlled Hard Case can safely store your HeartStart FR2-series Defibrillator in the trunk or storage compartment of a vehicle during extreme winter and summer temperatures. The Temperature Control Case provides protection from temperature-related defibrillator damage. Perfect for utility trucks, police cruisers and other vehicles where heating or air conditioning isn’t always available.

The Temperature Control Carry Case is equipped with a thermostat-regulated heater powered by a 12-volt vehicle battery. A built-in battery cut-off module turns off the heater before depleting the vehicle battery. It can keep your defibrillator within its specified standby range even if night and weekend temperatures drop to lows of -20 deg F (-29 deg C).

With a thick foam insulation layer, the Temperature Control Carry Case slows the heating effect of hot summer days. That means your HeartStart FR2-series Defibrillator can be kept within its safe operating temperatures even on days when the case is exposed to in-vehicle temperatures as high as 140 deg F (60 deg C).

Cold temperature performance assumes case is plugged into a live power source while vehicle is inoperative. It is assumed that inoperative periods are up to 16 hours overnight and up to 66 hours over a weekend. For longer inoperative durations at these temperatures or for more extreme temperatures, Philips recommends bringing the defibrillator and accessories indoors. Cold weather performance specifications are typical, and assume a typical heavy duty battery with minimum 650 cold cranking amps and 130 minute reserve. As the conditions and reserve power of vehicle batteries vary, Philips recommends testing the case in your vehicle under realistic conditions before putting the case and vehicle in service.

Note: The heater connector is a cigarette lighter-style adapter which connects to a vehicle's auxiliary power port, or other 12 volt power source, with a 42" cable.
