Convatec Hyalofill Sheets are made of 100% HYAFF, a patented technology for esterifying hyaluronic acid. Hyalofill liberates hyaluronic acid (HA) as it breaks down upon contact with wound exudate, forming a soft, cohesive gel which provides a moist wound environment which is supportive of the healing process.

The Hyalofill biopolymer degrades on contact with wound fluid allowing for more available HA than biologically possible under normal conditions. HA is a biocompatible naturally occurring carbohydrate component of the extracellular matrix of human skin, joints, eyes, and most organs and tissues.

Hyalofill may last up to 3 days in the wound environment before completely degrading, depending upon exudate levels.

Hyalofill-F is indicated for:

• Leg ulcers
• Pressure ulcers (Stages II-IV)
• Diabetic ulcers
• Surgical wounds (postoperative, donor sites, dermatological)
• Superficial and partial-thickness burns
• Traumatic wounds
• Abrasions, lacerations, and minor cuts

Hyalofill-R is suitable for

• Deep exuding wounds
• Sinuses
• Fistulae

Hyalofill may also be used on infected wounds under the supervision of a health care professional.
